Image of Melody Nunn.

Melody Nunn is contemporary Native American artist. She is a self-taught painter who has been working in acrylics for over 15 years. There are no sufficient words to describe the way Melody captures nature from it’s smallest to largest elements. Melody sees beauty in everything and inspired by her homeland in Vermont woodlands. Melody captures animals and our forest on canvas, saw blades, feathers and sap buckets.

Artist Statement

I began painting over 10 years ago when I was gifted some paints. I have always been captivated by the beauty that is everywhere in nature so that is what I paint. The collection of hand painted saws is my theme “FROM TRASH TO TREASURE”. I found these saws all rusted and frozen to the ground! after a lot of elbow grease and repurposing I know they will be someone’s treasure for years to come. I am self taught and am grateful that people can share in the beauty that is all around us.
